We've seen Rod Stewart before, but this show was not the one we expected, billed as a 'Landmark concert' with Jeff Beck. The only reason we ended up attending was due to Jeff Beck's appearance, as the girls convinced us. The show wasted much of its time with repetitive elements from Rod's Vegas show, including showgirls and an unnecessary Fleetwood Mac cover by the girls. Despite promises of bringing out Kansas Jayhawks Basketball, Jeff Beck only performed a few songs before abruptly leaving the stage, leaving his Guitar behind before the house lights even came on. The audience, including everyone around us, was shocked and angry at the sudden exit. The Band faced boos as they departed, as we paid to see Jeff Beck and felt cheated by the show's quality.
